BTS, the global superstars who have taken the world by storm, didn't always have sold-out stadiums and Billboard chart-topping hits. They started their journey back in 2013, and today, we're taking a trip down memory lane to celebrate their debut!

From Trainees to Bangtan Boys

Formed in 2010 under Big Hit Entertainment, BTS (originally Bangtan Sonyeondan, meaning Bulletproof Boy Scouts in Korean) wasn't following the typical K-Pop path. The group trained for years, honing their rapping, singing, and dancing skills. They were known for their strong focus on self-production and relatable lyrics that addressed social issues and the struggles of youth.

June 12th, 2013: The Big Day Arrives

The highly anticipated debut finally happened on June 12th, 2013, with the release of their single album "2 Cool 4 Skool." The lead single, "No More Dream," introduced the world to their energetic and rebellious concept. The music video showcased their sharp choreography and youthful determination to break free from societal expectations.

While "No More Dream" didn't achieve mainstream success immediately, it laid the foundation for BTS's unique brand of music. They followed up with their debut stage performance on M Countdown on June 13th, officially entering the competitive K-Pop scene.

The Legacy of a Debut

BTS's debut might not have been a meteoric rise to fame, but it marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. Their dedication to their craft, combined with their innovative approach to music and storytelling, has propelled them to become one of the biggest musical acts globally.
